The MATLAB
environment is designed for interactive or automated computation. Using
the built-in math and graphics functions and easy-to-use tools, you
can analyze and visualize your data on the fly. The structured language
and programming tools let you save the results of your interactive explorations
and develop your own algorithms and applications.
Users working on
a broad range of applications with various levels of complexity have
found MATLAB to be an effective and flexible environment that grows
with them. Through the MATLAB desktop interface, you can customize MATLAB
to match your working style and selectively use the features you need
for each phase of your project.
By using IDENT it
is possible to identify input-output, or transfer function models for
dynamic systems. A rich class of models can be considered, and exampels
are Box-Jenkins models, ARMAX models, FIR models. See also http://www.comsol.se/products/matlab/environment.php.
